In collaboration with British Council, Kolkata, KIIT School of Languages organised a one-day workshop on "Effective Presentation Skills & Essential Soft Skills for Students of Professional Colleges" in its premises on 9th August 2009. The Workshop was inaugurated by KIIT University, Vice-Chancellor Prof S C De Sarkar in the presence of Manager, Young Audience of British Council, Kolkata, Mr. Manish Gupta. The Workshop envisages teaching and training the target group with soft skills for effective interaction at the intra and inter-personal and institutional levels in the changing information environment. In this technical age, effective communication and presentation skills are very essential requirements. Prof Sarkar said the art of effective commtunication requires knowledge of verbal and non-verbal skills, so this type of workshop definitely gives positive output to the students.
